Exetensive Aftercare

We believe our commitment to you extends beyond surgery. That’s why we offer an extensive aftercare policy for each of our patients, including all your post-operative check-ups. We understand that surgery can cause concerns. These are usually minor, but even so, it’s frustrating not to have access to your original surgeon once you’ve had your operation. This is often the case if you have surgery through a large cosmetic surgery chain or at an overseas clinic that offers a less comprehensive aftercare plan. At MyBreast, you will have your own personal coordinator throughout your patient journey who will be able to assist you straight away and refer any questions necessary to your operating surgeon.

What does extensive aftercare mean?

MyBreast offers all patients as many follow up appointments as necessary so you can give us a call and pop in and see one of the MyBreast medical team whenever necessary. In the unusual case that your operating surgeon is no longer contracted to MyBreast we may need to refer you to another MyBreast surgeon. If you have undergone a Breast Augmentation you can rest assured that there are various options available to you regarding Capsular Contracture and Rupture, not only directly from the implant manufacturer, but from MyBreast ourselves. Your patient coordinator will be able to discuss this in more detail with you Our complete aftercare service is designed with you in mind and tailored to suit the specific requirements of surgery. We believe it is one of the best available today.

How does MyBreast cover Capsular Contracture?

If you develop capsular contracture within 3 years following your primary procedure with MyBreast you will not be charged for an implant replacement or the surgeons fees. You will however be charged for your anaesthetist and hospital fees. As an existing MyBreast patient we will endeavour to contribute towards these costs.

How does MyBreast cover Rupture?

If you experience an implant rupture within 5 years of your primary procedure with MyBreast you will not be charged for the replacement implant/s or surgeon fees. You will however be charged for the anaesthetic and hospital costs. As an existing MyBreast patient we will contribute towards these costs wherever possible.

What is the post op re-admittance policy if complications occur?

Should you experience any post-operative complications your operating surgeon will be informed and they will advise on a suitable course of action. If you require a return to theatre for instances of Haematoma or Seroma, these are covered for up to 3 months from the date of your surgery.

What if I decide not to proceed with my surgery?

If cancellation is for bona fide medical reasons which prevent your procedure from being rearranged within the next 12 months, MyBreast will refund all monies paid by you (other than your initial consultation fee and any hospital fees incurred), regardless of the date on which you cancel. Evidence of medical reason/s is required to be submitted before your refund is approved.
