Breast Augmentation Recovery and Aftercare

Whilst taking time off to recover from breast surgery you may be nervous and excited about what your new breasts will look like.

MyBreast wishes to make your recovery process as comfortable and as swift as possible. We place great importance on aftercare. Our lifetime aftercare policy and post-surgery advice, tips and instructions, are all designed to help you through your recovery. You can also ask specific questions in respect of your recovery needs and how to minimise scarring at your Consultation

In summary the first few days after your procedure will be the most difficult. When you first wake after your surgery, you’ll be bandaged up! You’ll be instructed to take two weeks off work and daily chores to recover. You’ll need to take the pain medication you’ve been given and follow the instructions provided by your surgeon to make your recover as quick as possible. After ten days your bandages will be changed and hopefully removed completely after three weeks.

Recovery and Aftercare

After around three weeks you’ll start to feel much better and after about five weeks pretty much fully recovered. You’ll need to stay away from the Gym for about two months, so your breasts can fully heal. The realisation of how good your results are will become clear after your bandages are fully removed and you can appreciate your new breasts for the first time.

After three-months you’ll have a follow-up consultation with your surgeon. Your breast augmentation will be thoroughly checked, and your breast surgeon will also ensure that your scars have healed well. This is when you can have your new breast size measured and confirmed.
